During live capturing, the action list only displays the actions of the most recent interacted window, meaning there is no way to edit former actions. However, you can still edit these actions by clicking Done to go back to editing mode. Here you can navigate through all your runs (Run overview) and browse all the detected windows (window panel).
If you want to change actions types, descriptions or other properties, or even delete actions, you can do so in the action panel. Of course, you can also add missing keys and hotkeys. But what if you forgot to capture just one single button, or an interaction on an already existing window? What if you made a small error, deleted one action and want to add it to the window again? No problem! The AM Muse allows you to add Click-Read-Write actions to existing windows as well. To do so, follow these steps:
- Make sure there are no actions in focus in the action list. If you have one action active, click somewhere else on the screen, e.g. the screenshot.
- Activate the toggle of your choice.
- Add an action to the screen and the action list by dragging a rectangle around the screenshot.
- Add a description and properties, if necessary.
Please note: Dragging rectangles around screenshots should never be the primary method of documenting your processes. Without the use of the Smart Indicator, the AM Muse cannot detect any detailed information (selector values).
Saving Your Project Results
You always have the ability to save your current documentation project and complete your work at another time, or allow someone else to extend your documentation. To do so, click Save or Save as in the Menu.
Whenever you try to close the application with unsaved changes, the AM Muse will ask you whether you want to save them or not. In general, the XMUSE file contains all necessary information, and can be distributed and opened in other AM Muse instances on other devices.
Sending Feedback to AM
If an unexpected error occurs, we are more than happy to receive your feedback and help in any way we can. When you see a notification popup indicating an error, do not hesitate to click Send error report (1). A predefined mail with attached logs will open up. Here you can describe when the error occurred and what you were planning to do before sending it out so that we can do our best to reproduce your error. The error report will be queued in our system and reviewed quickly by our team.
