While in editing mode as well as in the Run overview, the upper application bar contains the menu. You can expand this to the full-width menu by clicking on the burger button.
- Back button: Clicking on this button gets to back to the Run overview or the editing mode.
A. Create a new project: Clicking on this button will directly create a new empty project and lead you to the documenting mode - ready to start right away.
B. Open existing project: Clicking this button will open the windows file explorer for you to search for existing xmuse files.
C. Watch tutorials: Clicking this button will open a website with a short introduction to the Analyst (former Muse) tutorials to watch.
D. Online help: Clicking this button will open a website with online documentation and access to the community.
E. Recent projects: This section contains a list with the names of the ten most recently opened projects, their last editing date, and their file location.
In the New project menu section you are able to create a new project and insert Project name, Author, but also additional information like Customer, Department and Process Summary. Clicking on Start new project will lead you to the documenting mode.
The Open menu section is a reduced view of the Home menu section with limited functionality to search for existing files in the Windows file explorer and accessing your most recently opened projects.
- Save: Clicking on Save will save the current state of your project in an xmuse file. If you have not inserted a project name and file location yet, clicking Save will act as clicking on Save as (see below).
- Save as: Clicking on Save as will open the Windows file saving dialogue to insert a file name and file location for your project xmuse file. It will, of course, also save the current project state afterward.
- Project information:
With a project open, you can access and edit project information like Process name, Author, Customer, Department and Process summary here. Changes are automatically saved when switching menu tabs or closing the menu.
Here all your export options are displayed in a second menu section, with a separate exporting view for each export. The current export options are Designer Export, MS Office Export and MS Office Export (Interop) - if you enabled this one under Plug-ins. Details about the exports can be found in Exporting your Project Results.
You can manage loaded plug-ins within the Manage plug-ins section. Enable and disable your plug-ins and get error information when there are problems, e.g. incompatibilities. Currently, the export options are managed as plug-ins and available for enabling and disabling here. Per default, the Interop export is disabled since it is less performant.
Within the General menu section of the Settings, you are able to:
A. Change the language (currently English and German)
B. Change the theme (currently just a default theme available)
Within the Documenting menu section of the Settings, you are able to:
A. Change the Documenting mode (currently Frictionless (default) and Impermeable).
Frictionless mode: This option detects write and key actions next to the click actions.
Impermeable mode: No clicks are performed in the documentation environment, no actions detected and no keys are recorded
On the account menu section you can access the following information:
A. License information: Next to your current license status, the expiration date, and your user email you can remove/deactivate your product by clicking on Remove license.
B. Product information: Next to the copyright information you will find the used product version which you should indicate in support inquiries.
C. Release notes: Access the latest release notes of Hyland RPA (former AM Ensemble) online to find all new features and solved bugs.
D: Third-party provider: Access a list of all third-party libraries and licenses used by Hyland RPA (former AM Ensemble).
E: Online help: Access the Analyst (former Muse) documentation online.
F: Customer support: Send an inquiry to the service desk in case you have a technical issue via clicking on the button.
G: Feature request: Do you have new ideas for our tool(s)? Click on this link and describe your idea. We will get back to you once we discussed your idea.
H: Visit community: In case you need function help with the tool, use the community you can access here.
- Close application: Closes the Analyst (former Muse) - but asks to save unsaved changes beforehand.
